I need to be inside playing with my fabrics on hot days. Summer days I like to create small items that finish up quickly.

I'm just learning to quilt and the weather is not helping out at all. Doing lots of outdoor activities with the little one and then I'm too tired at night to do anything but lay on the couch!
Love this collection!

I joined your email list. With daily temps in the 100's, there's plenty of extra time to sew. PS. You have a great eye for choosing colors.

Summer encourages my sewing since it's too hot for knitting with wool!

The heat makes me sew more as it's too hot outside!

Summer heat equals more time by the pool....so not much sewing going on here!

I'm not a big fan of the summer heat so I've actually been getting more done than usual. It's still not a lot, nor nearly enough, but it's a start. Thanks for this great giveaway!

I have been between work and vacation, not much chance to sew right now, possibly in August . . . I've just been looking at my fabric and sighing. *Sigh*

Yes, it has affected my sewing as my kids just want to play outside in the heat, and I don't get to stay inside and play!
ElfRenee said…
I don't feel like doing anything when it's this hot except sitting in front of the fan!

My AC is cranked up to accommodate it. It helps if you use the old trick of keeping the room frigid to keep you awake. I can sew all hours of the day and night ;].

The summer heat means I try to do my sewing early in the day since it tends to get hot in my basement sewing area. I'm ready for Fall!

What Summer!...it's all rain, rain, rain..in Ireland. Send the sun over here and I may not have to stay inside, but then I do get a good bit of sewing done. Great giveaway!

I don't think the heat has really affected my sewing.... but it sure has affected my tv watching. Our flat screen is like a little space heater.

What an adorable quilt this fabric would make. The heat has affected my quilting time because I can actually go outside-spending more time in my yard/garden and less time in the sewing room.

I have recently decided to learn how to sew. I am outside alot with the kids, and haven't had much time to work on much. I do carry around patterns in my purse & read the instructions! (during camp pickups & drop offs). Great fabrics!
LethargicLass said…
I can't say the heat has affected it either way, other than not wanting to iron my work LOL

Just want to sit inside in the cool air and sew.

No problem with heat here in the Pacific Northwest (Vancouver Island). Most days have been sunny, but the temps remain around 70 degrees. Very comfortable for quilting.

cuteness and it makes it even cuter because my daughters name is zoie. ;) The heat has not affected my sewing at all, whihc is great because I can get more things done and I am loving it!!!

The heat is intense here (Phoenix) but I can't say that it has directly affected my sewing. You see I sew when my baby is sleeping and she won't allow it when she is awake. So even though we've been spending more time inside, I am not sewing. Thanks for the great giveaway.

I love this collection! So cute! Thanks for sharing! It has been so warm and rainy here that I have spent much of my summer and maternity leave sewing many things for our new little babe! Dresses, burp cloths, diaper covers and more are being produced at a rapid pace around here!

I think I prefer the cold weather to hot for staying inside and getting some serious sewing done. As long as there is a heat source like a fan heater!

ha ha ... summer .. what summer?? I'm in NZ and we're in the depths of winter so I'm drooling over flannelette and pyjama patterns at the moment.
JohannaO said…
We fled up North for the heat, so I'm about two weeks behind because I've been relaxing outside!
Mom C said…
the heat hasn't changed my quilting, except when I started cleaning up my sewing room and got hot and sweaty moving the fabric around. I do love to sew in the early morning when I can open the windows and hear the birds singing. Once the sun is up I have to close the windows and draw the blinds because the east sun comes right into my sewing room and heats it up way beyond the comfort zone.

Yes the heat has affected my sewing...I get to do more!!

The heat, 36-38 Celsius almost every day and 99 % humidity, has made me done some sewing every day so far. And the summer ain't over yet! :) So there's still time to use some cute FQ's! :) give ME! :)
Jen said…
ooo, I think I'm squeeking this entry in! I def. am not sewing as much now that it's summer. It's not exactly hot here yet but we're hanging outside anyway!

I am loving this collection - so beautiful. The heat has not slowed my quilting down - I am enjoying the late night light out in my conservatory with the back doors open.

Oh, and um, I live below the equator in Australia, and it's definitely NOT too hot to sew! ;-)

The heat has positively affected my sewing! I want to sew more since I don't want to go outside and do stuff! I just keep sewing and sewing and sewing... my husband is beginning to think I'm addicted to crafting. :) And, yes, I'm drooling over those alphabet soup FQ's!
