Birch Fabrics, New Storefront!

Hi Everyone, things are moving right along at Birch Fabrics/Fabricworm.com.

I'm mostly just going to post photos, since we are so busy, and we are still working on it, you'll see some progress though. At least we got our new signs up!

I also wanted to share this post with the announcement of the arrival of a New Sewing Pattern by Toni Coward of Make it Perfect Sewing Patterns in Australia. This pattern is especially Awesome because Toni used Circa 50 by Monaluna Cars and Starburst prints. The Pattern is called "About a Boy" and it's an adorable adjustable cap and cool messenger type of satchel bag, with a super hip patchwork flap. I just love the pattern, and I can't wait to whip up some caps for my Modern Boys!

New Feature at Fabricworm.com and a Big Sale!

Hi Everyone,

We've been working hard trying to come up with new ways to make www.fabricworm.com a special and convenient way for you to shop for fabric. We all Love Etsy, but it takes time to convo and ask for custom listings, and we are all busy, busy folks! So that is why we've been adding our custom fabric bundles, slowly but surely to our website also.

This beautiful set pictured here, using Alexander Henry Spotted Owl in Smoke, was inspired by a post on the OhFransson! Quilting blog. I decided to play up the plum color in the Owl fabric.

We also just received the New Alexander Henry Teeny Tiny Zoo in Pool, Holly, Primary, Nude and Chocolate. I've posted sets of these also, see below, you will find them all for sale here.

SALE INFO: Please enjoy a savings of 10% off of your entire purchase of $100+ through Monday, 3/22 with coupon code: spring10off @ www.fabricworm.com

Circa 50 by Monaluna for Birch Fabrics, Update in order...

It's been awhile since I've posted about Circa 50 by Monaluna for Birch Fabrics 100% Organic, and I'm sorry about that. We had some major delays and the fabric is only just now shipping to me. Which means that it will still not be here for another 6 weeks. I was so disappointed at first, but I had to face the facts that these things happen and it's all part of this business. Of course I know this from the retail perspective, but it's from that perspective that caused the disappointment, because it's the customers that I feel badly about, for having to wait so long.

The good news is that, I've just sent artwork off on 2 new collections! Marine by Dan Stiles and California Mod by Monaluna. They will be available in the fall and winter.

I can't post the designs yet, but I will soon.

Our store front will be moving next weekend and that has been keeping us very busy!

We will post more soon. Just wanted to give you this little update for now.
Best,
Cynthia

Slacking, I know, but a little peak at New Spring Echino should make up for it, Right?

I've really been slacking on this blogging thing. Loads and loads of busy-ness going on around here. Getting ready to show 2 New lines for Birch Fabrics, 100% Organic at Spring Quilt Market in Minneapolis (more on this later), Getting ready for the Big Move (see previous post), and just trying to stay focused at being a Good Mom while I'm at it!

So any way, I thought I'd do a quick post while baby boy #2 is napping and show you the new Spring 2010 Echino line.

Are you as smiiten as I am with these amazing prints? The whole collection will be here end of April/early May @ www.fabricworm.com of course.

I'm only posting a few, because you can see the rest in my shop "coming soon" page!

On with the show!
