PRICE MATCH Update!

To My Dearest Friends,

My Price Matching Policy has spawned some Angst from competitors on Etsy, marauding under false usernames and making personal attacks. I can no longer offer this policy on Etsy for fear of further retaliation. I hope you understand. I only wanted to offer "MY" customers the best possible service and was in no way trying to steal customers away from the competition. That was never my intentions, but somehow that was the impression that the competition got. I feel horrible and I just wanted to let you all know that I was trying to be kind. Certainly not trying to be unethical.

If you would still like to receive price matching I can offer this to you outside of Etsy and will be Happy to send you a PayPal invoice, Please send me a personal e-mail to my gmail account fabricworm@gmail.com with your orders.

Thank You so much for your continued support!
Cynthia

That is very interesting news. Isn't that "capitalism' at it's best? Aren't you supposed to be competing with them? Seems backward to me. Isn't this an open market? Well, you'll have to do it at your own shop. They can't kick you around there!

Yes, I agree 100%, now I'm off to have a glass of wine, and relax, and try to forget about the day I've had. I Love you All, and I really appreciate your support!

Don't all stores do this??? Wow, people are so touchy these days about nonsense. Try using that meaness and frustrastion on something worth while like helping a family in need or something rather than picking on sweet people like you! All my best, angie

Huh. I love my fabric that I bought from you, have made it up, and am planning to order some more. You've certainly got my support! I'll just buy my goodies from your website.

All this makes me want to buy from you even more. In this tough economy
competition is going to be key. Your product and service has always been wonderful. I thought your "price matching policy" was just darn good business. Hang in there!

I do want to mention that there are many fabric suppliers on Etsy and on the web that I have become Great Friends with. I can only assume who has launched these attacks, and in no way intend this to create backlash at others. I merely want to explain why I can't offer the policy there anymore. Peace. Cynthia

Cynthia,

This is very unfortunate that you are receiving personal threats. We encourage you to contact ETSY admins right away. IT folks within ETSY should be able to link who these threats come from by the originators IP address.

Take care,
Charlie and Lindsay

Wow! When I did hear you were doing this I thought something like this might happen!
I'm sorry that it did! You still have a fabulous shop and I will be back for sure!

I've only just been catching up with your blog after a busy few weeks, and am horrified to hear this news! I saw your notice about the price match policy, and was impressed at your moxy--I don't feel like I'm in a position to do the same, and had you set as a role model for my own little shop! How awful that the insecurities of others would make them behave so badly.

Keep up the good work, and take Charlie's advice--the Etsy folks are really good about talking sternly to bad apples.
